Resumen

Se analiza la evolución de la producción científica en el ámbito de la economía en Portugal, según los datos registrados en la base de datos Scopus, destacando el progreso e impacto de la producción académica para el período 2001-2023. El análisis bibliométrico reveló un crecimiento significativo en el volumen y la calidad de las publicaciones. La diversificación temática de la investigación económica es evidente, con un equilibrio entre áreas tradicionales, como finanzas y econometría, y enfoques interdisciplinarios, como sostenibilidad y economía circular. Las colaboraciones internacionales han fortalecido la visibilidad de la investigación portuguesa, promoviendo el intercambio de conocimiento y la integración en redes científicas globales. Los resultados evidencian el impacto creciente de la investigación económica portuguesa, con un aumento continuo de citas y del Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI). Este estudio proporciona una visión integral de la evolución de la producción científica en economía en Portugal, destacando los logros alcanzados y las oportunidades futuras para el país en el escenario académico internacional.
