Este artículo examina los aspectos éticos y estratégicos de la presentación de textos a revistas científicas. Se plantea cómo conciliar estas perspectivas frente a las exigencias estructurales del ecosistema editorial contemporáneo, marcado por las métricas de rendimiento y las expectativas institucionales. A partir de un enfoque crítico e interpretativo, configurado como un ensayo teórico, se propone reflexionar sobre las estrategias que favorecen la visibilidad y la aceptación de los artículos, y la necesidad de evitar conductas que debiliten la integridad científica y el compromiso ético con la investigación. Como resultado, el ensayo identifica las áreas ambigüas y dilemas recurrentes que revelan la complejidad de las decisiones estratégicas y las dificultades para mantener la integridad que se presentan cuando se prepara y presenta un artículo científico. Las conclusiones subrayan que este proceso exige discernimiento, responsabilidad y posicionamiento reflexivo. Por último, se recomienda el fortalecimiento de una cultura editorial que reconozca la ética no como un obstáculo en la estrategia editorial, sino como parte inseparable de la legitimidad y la credibilidad de la ciencia.
