Abstract

Though a consensus exist in Brazil that Librarianship, Archival Science and Museology form the common core of the Information Science; nevertheless, there is a lack of discussions and reflections on the relationship between Archival Science and Information Science. This article explores, from a social-epistemological perspective, this relationship with an emphasis on Information Retrieval.
