Abstract

A case study of the application of FAIR principles for the exchange, use and reuse of data in musicology is shown. It was carried out on the database Música en Periódicos Ochocentistas under the concepts of Open Science and semantic interoperability. The literature was reviewed in the Reference Database of Newspaper Articles in Information Science (BRAPCI - brapci.inf.br). Datasets at the FAIR preprocessing level were located and selected in sites in the area of Musicology and Google Scholar. As a result, it was possible to propose a semantic model present in the research object, based on vocabularies to describe electronic resources. It is concluded that the transformation of research data to conform to FAIR principles is still a difficult process. Furthermore, points of convergence between FAIRification processes and the preparation of data for use as open data related to FAIR were perceived.
