Abstract

University libraries regulations are considered a basic resource for their proper functioning. In the universities in Andalucia, Extremadura and Murcia, these regulations have been created recently, are in a creative phase or even in some cases are lacked. After a general introduction, the chapters of these regulations that consider automation, training and research are carefully analysed. Regarding automation, some of them establish an automation service depending of the university central library. Training and research are always present in the definitions and functions of these libraries. (Author)
