Abstract

Proposal of description of the photographic section of the San Javier Municipal Archive (Murcia, Spain). First, the context of the archive and its objectives, infrastructure, collections, treatment, access and dissemination are described, and a proposal for better preservation is offered. Second, the collection of photographs of the San Javier International Jazz Festival, which the council has been organising since 1998, is analyzed. A cataloguing system is proposed to match the needs of the users and researchers with the available resources as much as possible
