Abstract

The state of the question on author rights and the publishing industry in Mexico is analyzed, stressing the problems posed by the virtual environment for authors, publishing houses and libraries. The advantages and disadvantages of the Internet environment are discussed, and the situation in Mexico and Spain is compared.
