The aim of this research is to make a bibliometric analysis of the journal Scire: Representación y Organización del Conocimiento, edited in Spain, in order to evidence the most productive institutions and countries, as well as to build a cooperation network and calculate the density indicators, centrality degree and betweenness. The 292 articles of the period 1996 to 2010 were analyzed. It was found out that, of the institutions participating in the articles, 25 institutions have been clearly the most productive. Almost all of them are Spanish, except four Brazilian ones and three more from three different countries. The institutional network showed a low density, but several cooperative sub-networks were identified, which suggest the existence of an international dialogue among researchers on the discipline.

Ely Francina Tannuri de Oliveira, Docente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciência da Informação - UNESP - Brasil

Ely Francina Tannuri de Oliveira tiene licenciatura en Matemáticas y doctorado en Educación. Publicó 12 artículos en periódicos especializados en Ciencia de la Información y Ciencias Exactas, 8 capítulos de libros y 65 papers en anales de eventos. Participó de 26 eventos en Brasil y 9 en el exterior. Orientó 24 Tesinas Finales en Ciencia de la Información y tesina de maestría. Ha actuado en el área de Ciencia de la Información, en Métodos Cuantitativos en la sub-área de Ciencia de la información, en cursos de grado y postgrado. Actualmente, enfoca sus investigaciones en Métodos Cuantitativos en Ciencia de la información, bibliometría, cientometría e informetría y coordina el grupo de investigación “Estudios Métricos en Información”.

Bruno Henrique Alves, Mestrando do Programa de Pós- Graduação em Ciência da Informação da Unesp Marília

Graduated in Library Studies at São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho – Marília Campus, he used to have Scientific initiation scholarship in the period from 2009 to 2010 – Foundation of Research Support of the State of São Paulo – FAPESP, taking part of several events, such as SIICUSP – International Scientific Initiation Symposium of USP, Scientific Initiation Congress of UFSCar, Scientific Initiation Congress of UNESP and Scientific Seminar of Archives and Library Studies of UNESP/Marília. Nowadays, he is a scholarship student in the Post-Graduation Program (Master’s degree) about information Science at UNESP/Marília within the “Information Production and Organization” line. He has taken part in the research group “Metric Studies about Information” since 2008.

Maria Cláudia Cabrini Gracio, Docente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciência da Informação - UNESP - Brasil

Maria Cláudia Cabrini Grácio has graduation and master at Statistics (1986 and 1991, respectively) and doctorate degree at Logics (1999) by Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP. She has researched in Logics, Applied Statistics and Quantitative Methods employed Information Science area. In those areas, she has published 16 articles in scientific journals, 6 book chapters, 13 complete works in annals of scientific events and participated in 36 Brazilian scientific events and 6 international events. She has orientated 8 works of scientific initiation in Applied Statistics and 4 master’s thesis in the logic area. Currently, she has focused her researches in Quantitative Methods, especially Scientometry and Informetry and  coordinates the research group “Metrical Studies in Information”.
