The diocesan governmental documentation in the Early Modern Age: an approach through the study of the parish-benefit public examination records

La documentación gubernativa eclesiástica de la Edad Moderna es un ámbito poco conocido. Ignoramos tanto los tipos documentales como la estructura y el funcionamiento de la administración diocesana en este periodo. El presente trabajo trata de profundizar en dichas cuestiones a partir de los concursos de beneficios curados establecidos en las diócesis castellanas en los meses ordinarios a partir del Concilio de Trento. A partir de la documentación del obispado de Badajoz se brindan datos para comprender mejor las características de los expedientes gubernativos de las diócesis situadas en el Reino de Castilla.
